Custom Plush Character Commissions by Letters to Ear

Hello, internet!! I need to gush to you about the cutest custom Mizuki (Charade Maniacs) and Dahut (Virche Evermore) plushies I got in the mail today. [This sounds like a weird sponsored product review, but NO, I'M REALLY OVER THE MOON ABOUT THIS.] These are lovingly handcrafted by Letters to Ear. I saw she does custom plushes and I SPRINTED to commission my recent (and super niche?) favs. They are so itty bitty and adorable, I am CRYING.

Design Process

I came across Letters to Ear's shop from tumblr! She specializes in Twisted Wonderland and otome character plushes, letters, and character inspired jewelry. I had seen lovely reviews of her recent work around TWST yume circles. I knew I wanted a Mizuki plush right away (Charade Maniacs brainrot too strong) and a fav from Virche. Neither Scien nor Capucine seemed like good picks for a plush, to be completely honest (it's the grumpy scientist vibe for both of them fjkdsl). I thought Dahut would be WAYYYY cuter, so I went with him!!

I was worried about the complexity of both character's hairstyles, but Letters did such an amazing job at capturing their likenesses!! The little braids for Dahut especially, and the ribbons, are so perfect! Boy has the funkiest otome-logic haircut, but it looks so good. The customization and approval process and went very smoothly with lots of updates.

For the outfits, I knew the sizes of the plushes (4in/10cm) would be a limiting factor, but both shirts turned out so adorable! The bow shape for Mizuki is so spot-on, and I'm a sucker for lace details. I went with something simple for Dahut since he is already rocking the fanciest haircut.

Unboxing

The packaging!! OH the packaging for my goodies was so good. I ran to pick up my mail so I could snap some photos while it was still daytime. Please witness the exquisite packaging - it felt like my birthday.

There were so many freebies, I feel so spoiled. WAH. Both Mizuki and Dahut came with the best little packaging cards - I YELLED. I'm censoring a Virche spoiler CG, but please know it's very fitting and amazing. :)))) AND ALSO!! ALSO matching bracelets!! I love matchy matchy things.

In addition to the plushes arriving home, I got 2 envelopes of goodies.

1. bonus cute stickers, a note from Letters, her shop business card, plus a discount coupon for future orders.
2. AN OTOME SECRET ADMIRER LETTER* AHHHH.

* I say secret admirer letter, since I'm not familiar with the canon but OH MY GOODNESS it was very sweet nonetheless! (If she is familiar with your canon/favs, you will be in for a treat!) I got a letter from Mozart from Ikemen Vampire! I don't know who you are, Mozart, but…. I am intrigued now. (This is an effective way to get me interested in a new series for real.)

Concluding Thoughts

In short, I would highly recommend Letters to Ear if you want a custom plush of your obscure fav!! Or a tiny travel size version of your popular fav!! Or whoever, honestly!

I'm excited to take Mizuki and Dahut out for adventures (afternoon tea sometime). I also bought a pattern book for tiny 10cm nui plushies because I have an abundance of cosplay/sewing materials lying around, and it would be fun to give them different outfits. (The shirts are designed to be removable.) Maybe I'll share them here if I do?
